Curiously Curious

Today is the birthday of Willem De Kooning (1904). He was a painter and sculptor famous for his work in Abstract Expressionism (you know, Jackson Pollock type stuff).

Today I did my good deed of the week. As a proud member of Campus Civitans at my college, I was able to participate in the first build for my county from Habitat for Humanity. They started building at 8a.m. this morning and should be finished by Sunday evening. It was quite an interesting even to participate in. We even got to sign the inside of the house...

This isn't really my kind of art, but I love the colors.

It's so cool that you participated in that! Personally, I'd be afraid that I'd mess up and the house would collapse.

I've always wanted to do Habitat for Humanity in high school... But I must agree with Amelia on the colors of the Kooning's artwork. Exquisite. It seems concrete, but not.

p.s. Thanks for visiting my blog! I'm glad you're enjoying it :)
