Hippies and Chalk

Today I've discovered the wonderful world of street chalk. I got this Easter bunny shaped chalk set a few years ago and I have never used it. That is until today. I drew blue hearts on the walkway in my backyard. It was surprisingly fun. And I might continue to draw in chalk on my driveway...

Today I discovered a few interesting facts about my mother. Apparently she was quite the hippie in her day. I was talking about 60's inspired fashions, such as the hair bands, etc., and she really wore all of them in her youth. She was a vegetarian in high school, and still currently is. She had that loose, wavy hair, and even used to drive one of those VW van/bus things--how hilarious. Also, I learned that one of her sisters was present at the original woodstock. I seem to have quite the family history.

Chalk is so much fun. Someone has been going around my campus drawing fish everywhere, which makes me smile

Haha, cute :) I love street art!

My mom was a punk through the 80s/90s era, with piercings and a green Mohawk. Crazy moms!
