"One cannot begin it too soon..."

William Butler Yeats was born today (1865). My favorite poem by this Irish poet and dramatist is "Brown Penny," so I was thrilled when it made an appearance in Must Love Dogs.

I whispered, 'I am too young,'
And then, 'I am old enough';
Wherefore I threw a penny
To find out if I might love.
'Go and love, go and love, young man,
If the lady be young and fair.'
Ah, penny, brown penny, brown penny,
I am looped in the loops of her hair.

O love is the crooked thing,
There is nobody wise enough
To find out all that is in it,
For he would be thinking of love
Till the stars had run away
And the shadows eaten the moon.
Ah, penny, brown penny, brown penny,
One cannot begin it too soon.

The Olsen twins are 23 today (1986). It's amazing that they are already in their 20s. I, like many others, have grown up watching them as babies and young kids. I must say, back in their youth it was kind of hard to tell them apart, now they just seem so different.

I went to Maurices today. I wanted to find a jacket that I had seen before and liked, but when I went there they didn't have it. So I asked the cashier, and she was nice enough to take me into the back room and allow me to search through tons of clothes so that I could find it. I did and I bought it for the amazing sale price of $7.

I can't believe they are only 23. They have been in the media so long, I thought they were older :)

Love your jacket and fedora! Hope you're having a great weekend.

The Olsens really have come into their own these past few years, I remember when I never knew which was which! And I love the jacket :)
